We are an official student-led RSO at the University of Chicago created in 2020 and recognized by UNICEF USA. Our mission is to address global issues affecting the wellbeing of every child and impact students across UChicago campus.

Taylor Hammill, our Co-President, is a rising fourth-year majoring in Economics with Specialization in Business Economics. She likes to bake, watch Netflix, and explore the city of Chicago!

“I was involved with UNICEF in high school and enjoyed my time participating in fundraisers like Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Therefore, when the opportunity came up I was excited to continue being involved with UNICEF in college.”

Marketing Chair

Sophia Cao, our Marketing Chair, is a rising third-year majoring in Economics with Specialization in Business Economics and minoring in Biological Sciences. In her free time, she enjoys producing dance choreography, creating graphic designs, and listening to EDM music!

“After my Tanzania trip to orphanages and rural villages, I wanted to be able to impact those children I saw who were affected by a variety of illnesses and UNICEF was a perfect opportunity to do so!”

Suha Chang, our Co-President, is a rising third-year majoring in Neuroscience at UChicago. In her free time, she loves to draw comics and try very hard not to fall down while inline skating.

Megan Lee, our Advocacy Chair, is a rising third-year double majoring in Biology with Specialization in Global Health and Political Science. She enjoys running outside, trying new restaurants, and traveling to different places in her free time!

“As an avid member of Model United Nations in high school, I joined UNICEF because I wanted to learn more about how UNICEF saves children’s lives and defends their rights.”

Thami Pathmarajah, our Secretary, is a rising third-year majoring in Neuroscience at UChicago. In her free time, she loves to read, embroider, and bake!

Laurina Ye, our Fundraising Chair, is a rising third-year pursuing an Economics Major at UChicago. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling!

“I was really involved with Habitat for Humanity in high school and wanted to continue it in college. As someone who really supports the UNICEF’s cause, I wanted to join the initiative.”
